How it works

  1. 01

    Drop the workbook

An .xlsx, .xlsm, or .csv file is read in your browser. Every sheet gets a tab with its row count, so you can pick the one to print.

  2. 02

    Choose the page

A4 or Letter, landscape or portrait. The preview shows the rows that will be printed, with empty rows dropped unless you want them.

  3. 03

    Download the PDF

Columns are scaled to the page width and the header row repeats on every page. The text stays text, so the PDF is searchable and copyable.

Saving a sheet as PDF from Excel works until the sheet is wider than the paper. Then the right-hand columns move to their own pages, the headings appear only once, and a formatted cell three hundred rows down adds pages of nothing. Each of those has a fix buried in Page Layout. This converter applies all of them by default and shows you the rows before it writes anything, without opening Excel and without uploading the file.

What goes wrong when Excel prints to PDF

The last columns land on a second page
Excel prints in page order, down then across, so a wide sheet splits its right-hand columns onto pages of their own. Here every column shares the width of one page and long values wrap inside their cell, the same idea as Fit All Columns on One Page.
Only the first page has the headings
Excel repeats a header only if Print Titles is set. Here the first row repeats on every page by default; untick First row is a header if your sheet has none.
Half the PDF is blank pages
A stray space or a formatted cell far down the sheet stretches Excel's print area. Empty rows are skipped here, so the PDF ends where the data ends.
The PDF is a picture of the table
Screenshot-based converters give you an image you cannot search or copy from. This one writes real text, so Ctrl+F finds a value and a reader can copy it out again.

Common questions

How do I convert an Excel file to PDF?
Drop the .xlsx onto the converter above, pick the sheet if the workbook has several, choose the paper size and orientation, and download. The PDF is built in your browser, so it is ready in a second and the workbook never leaves your device.
How do I fit all columns of an Excel sheet on one PDF page?
That is what this converter does by default: the columns share the width of the page and a long value wraps inside its cell instead of pushing columns onto a second page. Landscape fits most sheets; around 25 columns is the practical limit for a readable page. In Excel itself the setting is Page Layout → Scale to Fit → Width: 1 page.
Does it keep my colours, fonts and merged cells?
No. It prints the values as a clean table with a bold header and light row lines, which is what most people want from a data sheet. If the PDF must look exactly like your formatted sheet, use File → Save As → PDF in Excel, or turn the range into an image with the Excel to PNG converter.
Can I convert a workbook with several sheets?
Yes. Each sheet appears as a tab with its row count; pick one and download its PDF, then pick the next. The file name includes the sheet name so the PDFs do not overwrite each other.
What happens to formulas?
The PDF shows the value each formula last calculated, the number you saw when the workbook was saved, not the formula text.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. Reading the workbook and writing the PDF both happen in JavaScript in your tab. Nothing is sent to a server, which matters when the sheet holds salaries, prices, or customer data.
Does it work with .xls or password-protected files?
Old .xls files need saving as .xlsx first. A workbook with a password to open has to be decrypted first; the read-only Excel converter does that if you know the password.
